Sara Kearns (Editor)
was born and raised in Pittsburgh, and educated at the all women's Chatham College, where she was awarded the Beatrice Lewis Memorial Writing Award in 1996. She has been nomadic and has lived in Chicago, Hong Kong, New York, Providence, and in Nanjing, in the People's Republic of China, where she taught English to Chinese high-school students. She has also taught poetry to teenagers in an I Have a Dream program, as well as in a juvenile detention center, and to women in an adult literacy program. She is the author of a chapbook, Bodies of Water, and is currently working to complete her first full-length collection, entitled Bare.
